The signing ceremony of an agreement to build the first college at Nablus University for Technical and Vocational Education, valued at 15 million euros, funded by the French government.
Dr. Ziad Jweiles, President of the National TVET Commission, and Mr. Fareed Ghannam, Deputy Minister of Finance, along with a representative from the German Development Bank at the Prime Minister's Office in Ramallah, signed an agreement for support from the Republic of Germany for the vocational and technical education and training sector, amounting to 22 million euros. The signing ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammed Ishtayeh, as well as the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mweis, the Minister of Labor, Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish, and the President of Nablus University for Vocational and Technical Education, Dr. Rizq Salimiya. This agreement aligns with Palestinian national priorities regarding supporting employment and the vocational and technical education and training sector in Palestine by providing support for the infrastructure of all government vocational and technical education and training institutions, in addition to contributing to the establishment of Nablus University for Vocational and Technical Education, especially in constructing the administration building and other facilities.
