The TVET 4 Future project aims to develop skills and align the outputs of TVET with the labor market's needs. This leads to the employment of young men and women, achieving economic and social development. The implementation is monitored through the following components:
Occupations and skills Forecasting Model: Training workshops are held for supervisors, trainers, curriculum developers, and training material developers in the TVET sector of relevant ministries. The goal is to review the curricula for technical and professional specializations and teaching materials. This is based on the results of the Skills and Occupations Forecast Model (2022-2025), which covers 30 professions needed by the labor market. The aim is to develop technical and professional curricula that respond to the needs of the Palestinian labor market, taking into consideration the competencies and skills required to prepare young men and women, especially those with disabilities, for decent and sustainable employment opportunities.
Establishment of a National TVET Platform: Work has begun on establishing a national platform for TVET. The platform will analyze the specific systems in Palestine, containing electronic information about all TVET institutions at their five levels in both the public and private sectors. It will also include all programs and professional specializations offered by these institutions, comprehensive data on the number of participants in institutions and programs, and a tracking system for graduates. The platform aims to enhance the relationship with the labor market to contribute to their employment.
National Guide for Career Counseling and Guidance: A review of policies, procedures, and educational materials in the TVET sector to ensure the inclusion of women and persons with disabilities. Through consultative meetings, workshops, and training programs, the following documents have been developed:
A Unified National Guide for Career Counseling and Guidance for Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
A Policy Analysis Document, Procedures, and Educational Materials used in the TVET System, with recommendations for enhancing inclusion and integration for women and persons with disabilities.
Auspices of the Entrepreneurial Projects Competition: This competition was held at Palestine Polytechnic University, where a range of entrepreneurial projects from various professional sectors were presented. Several dialogues with representatives from the private and government sectors were held, showcasing success stories of female leaders in the technical and vocational sector. Three winning projects were selected to receive the necessary funding.
